Djalma Santos, (São Paulo, 27 de fevereiro de 1929) foi nomeado por Pelé como um dos 125 maiores jogadores vivos de futebol em março de 2004. Foi um dos melhores laterais-direitos de toda história e disputou mais de cem partidas pela Seleção Brasileira, incluídas as Copas de 1954, 1958, 1962 e 1966.

No fim da Copa do Mundo de 1958, entrou no lugar do titular De Sordi, contundido e, em apenas noventa minutos, foi eleito o melhor jogador da posição no Mundial.

Djalma Santos, born 27 February 1929 in São Paulo, Brazil) is a Brazilian former football player who started for the Brazil national team in four World Cups, winning two, in 1958 and 1962. Santos is one of the greatest defensive backs to ever play the game. While primarily known for his defensive skills, he found time to raid down the right flank and was steadfast in support of the attacking game.

He was the first Brazilian to gain 100 international caps. He played in the World Cups of 1954, 1958, 1962, and 1966, the last one aged 37. Santos helped create the final goal of the 1962 Final for Brazil

He was named by Pelé as one of the top 125 greatest living footballers in March 2004.
